Product Description

Preparing absinthe the traditional way with a proper absinthe spoon is a real experience!

This premium quality handmade absinthe spoon is a chromium plated replica of authentic Les Fleches. The spoon is not a cheap, flimsy imitation, it has been uniquely crafted and commissioned by Absinthe Original to allow absintheurs the ability for traditional absinthe serving, as was done in the 19th century. If you are looking for a high-quality absinthe spoon then this classic spoon might be your choice. We have several absinthe spoon shapes available all with the same premium quality made of top grade stainless steel and you can have them delivered in a few working days directly to your door.

How to serve absinthe with an absinthe spoon
You need an absinthe glass, a slotted absinthe spoon, sugar cubes and ice cold water for the traditional absinthe ritual. First, pour roughly three ounces of absinthe into the Absinthe glass. Then you place the perforated absinthe spoon on the rim of the glass, put a sugar cube on top and slowly add water. The absinthe in the glass blends with water and magically louches from green to an opalescent white color (depending on a brand of absinthe). Finally, stir the absinthe drink with the spoon and your sugared absinthe is prepared! The perfect absinthe / water ratio is 1:3.

Did you know that...?
Pastis, a similar (but wormwood-free) anise-based distilled beverage rose to popularity when absinthe was banned in France. During the time when absinthe was legally unavailable, numerous companies began producing pastis with names suggestive of absinthe-brands like Absente, Versinthe, and La Muse Verte.

Absinthe Spoons

I ordered these spoons to match the fountain and set of four glasses that I ordered so I would have a complete set and I'm glad that I did. The set is impressive and well priced. Thanks
