Absinthe Delivery Times

All orders from Absinthe Original are being shipped by DHL Express - delivery time is usually 2-3 days to the USA, 4 days to Australia and Asia. For the UK and European deliveries, it is 24 hours. With DHL On Demand Delivery service, DHL Express will notify our customers via email or SMS about a shipment’s progress. You can then select the delivery option that best suits your requirements via the On Demand Delivery website. In the event of an incorrect address DHL will endeavor to contact the recipient - please make sure you provide daytime telephone number! You can change the delivery date of your shipment if the originally scheduled date is not convenient for you. Please note that since we use a recorded delivery service, we will only accept shipments to a valid street address. All of our delivery services require a signature as proof of delivery in all cases! We are therefore unable to deliver your orders to PO, APO, FPO, DPO box addresses.

Please note that we don't despatch any parcels on Saturdays, Sundays or Bank Holidays.

If you have not received your order in two weeks since the date of shipment, please contact us for tracking information. Please use the tracking number provided for the latest progress on your order’s estimated delivery. You can also can get help directly from our shipping carrier, DHL. Contact them quoting your unique tracking number as they might be able to help find the package.

If your order is not received after two weeks, you can file a claim 21 calendar days after the shipment date or 30 days after the order date, whichever is earlier. Any later claims will not be accepted.

When your package is marked as delivered but not received, we recommend checking secured locations in or around your property such as a main office, front desk or any side or back doors. Sometimes drivers will leave packages in less obvious areas for security. You may also check with neighbors to see if the package was delivered to them accidentally.

One Shipment When Your Complete Order is Ready

Unless other instructions are given, we will wait until we have all the items in your order before shipping any of them. For example, if you order one item that is in stock another that is temporarily back ordered, we will ship both to you together when both items become available. Typically, items are back in stock within 3-5 business days, so nearly all of our packages ship very quickly.

Order Tracking

Once you have placed an order you will receive an email notification that the transaction was successful, followed by another email, usually within 24 hours, advising you that the order has been prepared and sent to our shipper. You can track the progress of your order by logging into your account. You'll be able to find out whether or not your order has been shipped. Once the order has been shipped the courier will email you tracking details enabling you to track the shipment online.

All orders are shipped using a fully trackable courier service, DHL Express. You will be sent a tracking number by email and can follow the parcel's progress online. All of our overseas shipments are typically delivered within two to three working days. All European orders are being delivered in 24hrs.

Our packages are secure and discreet, we respect your need for privacy at all times.

Shipping and Handling

Goods will be shipped once payment has been validated. All shipping is calculated based on the volume and weight of the product and the country it is being delivered to. The cost of the item (for insurance) is also taken into consideration. For this reason, we cannot list a definite price costing of the delivery charges. This is calculated and displayed for you upon checkout.

We cannot be responsible for incorrect or incomplete addresses entered on orders. It is therefore very important to double check the recipient's telephone number and shipping address before confirming an order. This is especially important if your shipping address and billing address are different, if you have recently moved, or if you are having your package shipped to a third party.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to ship an order to multiple addresses. If you are shopping for people at different addresses you will have to place separate orders for each address, which will also be charged separately.

Why We Use DHL Express Shipping Only

Customers sometimes ask us whether we can ship using a cheaper method. In fact, some other websites advertise prices as low as $6.95 for international shipping. Well - you get what you pay for. Do you want your package to arrive quickly? Our parcels usually arrive in 2-3 business days; the $6.95 method arrives in 8-12 WEEKS.

Do you want your package to arrive safely? All of our parcels are insured for full value, and are shipped using special handling; the $6.95 method does not include insurance and is handled with all other heavy cargo. The cheaper shipping cost is no bargain when you don't receive your package, is it?

Please also note that our shipping charges are based on the ACTUAL SHIPPING COST that the DHL charges. And they are providing the extra care and the extra service to make sure you receive your package quickly and safely. It's just not worth it to ship any other way.

Returns

We want you to be 100% happy with your order and it is our aim to ensure that all products supplied to all customers arrive in perfect condition. You have the right to cancel your order at any time without being charged for the goods ordered within 14 days of purchasing.

If you have received your order and are unhappy with any of the products ordered, we will happily refund your money or exchange the products provided that you inform us of your intention to return the products within 14 days from the date of your order being delivered. However, we will only reimburse the cost of returning items where they were delivered in error or the items were damaged or defective.

Any products must be returned to us in the same condition that you received it, unused, not opened or damaged, and in its original packaging. All refunds will be paid within 14 days of receiving the returned product(s). Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.

Please note that all of the items for sale here, at Absinthe Original Liquor Store are new. Product images on the website are intended for illustrative purposes only and may not be exact representations of the item in stock, particularly for handmade antique absinthe fountains or spoons.

You are responsible for the cost of returning products to us unless the items being returned were delivered in error or the items were damaged or defective. You are also responsible for insuring all returns as we might claim against you should damages be sustained.

For all returns, please follow the following instructions to ensure that products are received in perfect condition and your returns can be processed quickly:

- All returns must be initiated and authorized from the "Order History" page of our website. Unauthorized and late returns will not be accepted.

- Download, print and complete our returns form and include it in your parcel completed with the quantity and reason(s) for the return against each item on the form.

- Please ensure to pack and seal your return securely in the original packaging to prevent possible damage while in transit and include the completed returns form

- Fix your return shipping label to the packaging. Make sure no other address labels are shown.

Please note, that other than for faulty goods, you will have to pay the cost of returning the goods. Your money will be returned within 14 days. Refunds will be made with the same method of payment as the original order. Credit card refunds will only be made to the same card used for the original purchase.

Cancellations

All non-business customers (that is, those customers who are not purchasing either wholly or in part for business use) have a right to cancel a contract in which they purchase merchandise from us or withdraw their offer to purchase the product(s) as applicable, at any time up to fourteen days from the date of your order being placed ('the cancellation period') unless the order includes products that have been personalized or products that we have specified as being non-returnable.

To cancel your order, you must inform us in writing before the expiry of the cancellation period. If you have already taken delivery of the order, you should return the product(s) to us. Unless the items being returned were delivered in error or the items were damaged or defective, you will be liable for the full cost of returning the product(s) and will be responsible for any damage to the product(s) until we acknowledge receipt of the products. As such, you should ensure that the product(s) are adequately insured. You have a legal responsibility to keep the product(s) in your possession and to take reasonable care of the products until you return them to us. Should the product(s) show signs of damage or tampering, we may have a right against you for compensation. We retain the right to arrange for collection of the product(s) at your cost in the event that you have not returned the product(s) within 30 days of your notice of cancellation.

Goods Damaged in Transit

Upon receipt of your delivery, please check to make sure the packaging has no visible signs of damage. If you feel that it has experienced a rough ride then please contact us straight away stating the nature of the problem, your name, e-mail address and order number. We will aim to resolve any issue with a faulty item as quickly as possible but we need you to tell us as soon as you discover the fault so we can resolve the issue for you. In order for us to carry out any investigations with our couriers and possibly to issue a refund, it is best to contact us within 24 hours of receiving your delivery. We advise you to retain the product, box, and all packaging until instructed by us. We may also require photographs of any damage including all the packaging for insurance purposes. The photographs showing the detail of the damage or faulty items. We also need a picture that clearly shows the seal intact on the damaged or broken bottle.

Claims for damage or errors in shipping must be reported within three (3) business days following delivery or they will not be accepted.
