I honestly was disappointed in this, its kinda bitter, (the anice is quite noticable here) I am sorry but there was no louche in this just a swirl of oils when i added water to it. Taste wise it was ok, I did not like the finish at all. Its strong in terms of the alcohol content, and it gives you a decent buzz after downing a few glasses. As far as the effects they were ok I suppose, no green fairys but it was somewhat pleasant, kinda weak to me. Bottom line is that this is expensive for what you might be expecting for absinthe and the absinthe itself is dissapointing. I have tried other brands that are much better and more affordable. I would not recommend this even if you are a first time absinthe drinker.
I have been an Absinthe Original customer for 2 years now and must say their Absinthe is spectacular! I have drank Absinthe in France, Germany and the U.S. Absinthe has recently been approved for sale in the U.S. and several upscale restaurants in the Cleveland, OH area host "Absinthe Parties." However, these "Parties" use French Absinthe and taste quite harsh compared to the ones from the Czech Republic. I started with the 350ml Absinthe bottle which tastes sweet and contains no Thujone.
