Absinthe Innocent is a great absinthe for the first time drinker and due to its lower content of alcohol, it is also ideal for women. It is also great to be used as a main ingredient in cocktail recipes. Absinthe Original Innocent is a genuine Verte Suisse absinthe liquor, distilled using 11 plants, including angelica and grande wormwood. Steeping a mixture of aromatic plants in the distillate produces its natural green color.
The taste of this real absinthe is just as absinthe was meant to be. It accomplishes what many other absinthes are just trying to accomplish. It is a refined combination that makes no attempts at being overly complex just to stand out. The background herbs dance around the dominant flavors in a delicate and complimentary way. Now, for the first time since 1912, you too can legally partake of absinthe, thanks to the European Union's pointing out a loophole in the U.S. ban. Absinthe Innocent is a fine liquor based on anise, fennel, and wormwood. These and other herbs give the fabled Fée Verte, or Green Fairy, her grassy color. When the chlorophyll dies, absinthe turns, like fallen leaves, to a highly prized dark amber hue. Absinthe Innocent has been created in response to many requests we have had for a real, thujone absinthe that is lower in alcohol, is slightly more bitter but which still has all the characteristics that give absinthes their reputation. Absinthe Innocent has similar alcohol volume as Chartreuse absinthes (usually 38% - 55% alcohol) but unlike Chartreuse, Innocent is not a sweet absinthe. It is a fine addition to our range of original absinthes.

By the mid-1870s the green hour had become a daily ritual at many of Paris' 366,000 bars and cafes. From 1875 to 1913 the annual consumption of absinthe per inhabitant in France increased fifteen times, by 1913 drinkers were consuming 10.5 million gallons of absinthe a year. The French referred to this wild era as "the great collective binge", for it seemed as if the entire nation was drunk on absinthe.
This was my first bottle of Absinthe ever. It was the best thing I've ever had that is Legal. =). For me it was a Complete body high feeling and that was only after two glasses of it. I'm currently in the process of getting 4 - 6 more bottles. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a Great experience with Absinthe.<br />
This was my first experience with Absinthe of any kind and I've been impatiently awaiting to see if it could live up to it's reputation. Though it didn't have the effects some believe it to do, Absinthe Innocent will most definitely become a stable in my collective. Its initial effects are very different than drinking ordinary liquor but wait an hour and the proof will hit you, so pace your drinking and the Absinthe will reward you well.<br />
I am debating with fellow friends on which bottle we are going to buy next. This stuff is crazy fun... I received the bottle 3 days before the due date on a Tuesday instead of Friday. Me and some friends did about 5 shots of the original innocent on Thursday and everyday until Sunday was a party day, lol... There's something about the contents that puts you in a state of feel good no matter what's going on around you... I live in Chicago and it took about 3 days after I ordered the bottle but still arrived early than expected but definitely IS worth the wait and the money... btw it taste stronger than jager and I hate jager but I chase with a beer or some cherry coke... for first timers, this is the bottle to get<br /> Enjoy and call off work for 3 days lol<br /> -Eric<br />

Wow! My bottle of Original Innocent (along with 2 glasses and a spoon) arrived faster than expected and in very good condition with no problems from customs. My roommate and I were a little nervous to try it after watching a show called Three Sheets. The host and other patrons of the absinthe bar he visited weren't particularly impressed with the taste. To our surprise it wasn't bad at all. We dripped cold water over the sugar cube as opposed to lighting it - I hear the caramelized sugar doesn't taste so great. Thanks for such an excellent product and service.<br />
