VERY SPECIAL

Whoa

What they don’t mention in movies and shows is this stuff is harsh being high ABV. Do not take a shot and make sure it’s mixed properly, you may regret it. I personally enjoy it, my wife not so much. We did a regretful shot the night of arrival in celebration of a promotion. Don’t do that it’s 70%. I made a drink of a base of Absinth Beetle, a splash of quality rum and root beer and ice. I thought it was strong but good, my wife did not so I had 2 glasses. The anise does give a black licorice taste (like a very mellow sambuca comparatively). But indeed a different type of feeling after consumption, I would not use the word “drunk”. Highly recommend for a prestige Absinth experience. I look forward to filling a shelf and reviews with the other varieties they offer.

It fits but...

Sadly, it leaks. I think it needs a bigger gasket, maybe. But no matter how we screw it on, it leaks. It's beautiful though and fits my fountain the same as the old one. Lovely quality besides the leaky-ness. <br /> <br /> To be fair, I never tested the old one before it got broken (clumsy husband). So the whole contraption may just be leaky. Sad. Cause it's $$.<br /> <br /> If we can't fix it, it will be the most expensive candy dish on earth.

The Only Glass You Had

Once again, I miss the crystal but it looks sturdier and of the right proportions. I only got one we shall all share, since when you're stocked I plan to get a set.

Old Hunter's: The King of Rye

I had finished a job and felt like I had a reason to celebrate this evening, so I decided to celebrate by opening the box and twisting off the lid and having a shot. Oh my, it smelled wonderful, very easy on the nose. Then I pour a shot, and the taste absolutely blew me away. That old world craftsmanship, the full flavor, the sweetness. I am truly astounded by the shear smoothness, the fullness of the flavor, and the taste of this amazing whiskey. So amazing is"Old Hunter's", that it has destroyed me from drinking any other rye whiskey, because I have never in my entire life have tasted anything to even come close to or even to be compared to it! I am so glad I ordered this bottle . It's bottle # 4030 out of 11,502. Thank you 'Absinthe Originale' for carrying this beautiful old world elixir. Kudos to the Craft Master 👏

Not sure what I am doing wrong

Not sure what I am doing wrong - I am following the directions exactly but the absinthe won't louche. Have tried both methods - just dripping ice cold water over the sugar cube and soaking the sugar cube and lighting it. Absolutely no louche with either method.
