We are thoroughly pleased with the Absinthe King of Spirits Gold. The flavor is robust and very satisfying. The quality is what I expected and will definitely purchase again.

Legitimate Absinthe

This product provides a stimulant effect coupled with a unique flavor. I like that the flavor isn't heavy on the anise or fennel like other brands. This is one of the most psychoactive legal absinthes you are able to purchase. Shipping to the United States is always reliable. This retailer is great overall!

Strong and tasty

Smooth w/ a little bite, mixed with ice cold water and sugar smoothed it out tremendously. If you like anise this is for you.Will buy again, thank you

First time trying absinthe

I'm glad I tried this first. It was excellent, very unique flavor and that unique feel from drinking absinthe. Something like a relaxed clarity. Couldn't be happier.

Best Absinthe that is close-ish to others ive had

I really enjoyed this Absinthe and I've tried several that I can get in the US.<br /> Absinte (Van Gogh box), Grande Absente, Lucid.<br /> <br /> This was the closer to Absinte (Van Gogh) which was my favorite until I tried this. I also currently have the King of Spirits from Absinthe Original but haven't formed an opinion yet. (About to go make a double and see where the night takes me.)<br /> <br /> This had far more of a kick and gave the impression I needed to be a little more careful with it than I was with the others that I had built up a bit of a tolerance to. I drank it with brown sugar and a 3:1 water / absinthe mix and it was very good. <br /> <br /> A great "take the edge off and unwind" kind of drink. This is however VERY different in taste / texture from the King of Spirits which has a much more viscous texture and a very herby flavor. Not bad, but different. <br /> <br /> Absinthe Original is very good and I'm almost certainly going to order more for a more casual experience and save my King for more special occasions

Haven't had a ton of exposure to absinthe, seems what I have had in the past was just licorice flavored green kool-aid with some alcohol in it - this is a whole other story. I tend to do the whole sugar cube/water preparation, and it's easy to drink, the flavor is by no means fake tasting or cloying, and to be very honest, the effects are very pleasant-subtle, almost, but very pleasant.

A little underwhelming

Honestly, I've had absinthe before, of this proof and compared to that this was really bitter. I taste hints of mint(?) in it, which might be why it's a fair bit bitter, and has a stail taste to it.<br /> I'm not sure if it was left in sun-lit or bright lit areas too much or too long (from what I understand, that is a bad thing to put absinthe through, hence why the bottles are usually waxed or painted) or if it was left to linger in undesirable conditions. But while it's definitely not terrible, it definitely was not what I expected it to be. Especially for the price.

King of Spirits Gold is the best absinthe of all time!
