Credit Card Payments

To increase the security of all transactions and to combat credit card fraud, we have implemented 3D secure technology to our payment gateway. Verified by Visa (VbV) and MasterCard SecureCode (MSC), which use 3D Secure technology, are an added fraud prevention initiative launched by the card schemes as a more secure method for authenticating the cardholder at the time of the transaction.

VbV and MSC require the cardholder to enter a password during the transaction process. The cardholder will first need to register their password for VbV or MSC with their card issuer. If you are unsure if your card is 3D secure you can just contact your card issuer and ask them if your card is part of 3D secure scheme. It is important to know that MasterCard policy states that all International Maestro cards MUST have a full 3D Secure Authentication in order for the transaction to be authorised.

If your card is not yet part of 3D secure scheme, it should still be validated, however it is important to provide an exact registered billing address and also the additional 3 or 4 digit security code (CV2) found on the signature strip on the back of the card. American Express cards have a 4 digit security code found on the front of the card just above the card number. CV2 can be checked on all cards issued within the EU and the majority of international cards.

Since we are based in the UK, it is also important to make sure that your Credit Card can be used for overseas transactions.

We are happy to accept bank transfers, but a £12 fee will be levied to cover bank charges for customers outside the UK.

In order to be more clear and avoid any misunderstandings and delays, we would like to ask you to write down your order number (example: UK2012453) in the description of the payment.

Credit Card Refunds

After we issue a refund authorization to the bank, credit will appear on the customer's statement within one to two billing cycles, depending on the time required for the card issuing bank to process such transaction. Credit will be issued for part cost, tax and shipping less any re-stocking fees (where applicable). Refunds will be made with the same method of payment as the original order. Credit card refunds will only be made to the same card used for the original purchase. If you still see the charge and don't see the refund, there is a possibility that you still have authorisation shadow left on the account. Some card issuing banks may not reverse the transaction which can leave an authorisation shadow on the card for up to 10 working days.
