Absinthe Spoons

The ritual of the perforated absinthe spoon, designed to accommodate a sugar cube, could not have existed prior to 1850 because sugar cubes as we know them today had not yet been invented. Originating in the 1870s, absinthe spoons popularity grew in the 1880s and 1890s, and they were frequently imprinted with business names or logos as advertising. These traditional, antique absinthe spoons are still available on the market; however they can be very expensive as some absinthe antique spoons can even fetch thousands of dollars.

All of our slotted absinthe spoons are quality chromium plated replicas made as close to the traditional spoons as possible. These spoons are being used for the traditional way of serving absinthe, often with an absinthe glass and metal absinthe fountain. Our absinthe spoons are crafted from either high-quality chrome over brass or stainless steel. This ensures that the spoons will not tarnish and that they may be washed in the dishwasher.

We have recently introduced a wonderful addition to our exclusive absinthe sets - the absinthe spoon! As a token of our appreciation, you will now receive a complimentary absinthe spoon when you purchase one of our special absinthe sets. These sets are carefully curated to provide an exceptional absinthe experience, and the addition of an absinthe spoon only enhances the authenticity and enjoyment of this classic drink. Whether you are a seasoned absinthe connoisseur or someone looking to delve into the world of this intriguing beverage, our absinthe sets, complete with an exquisite absinthe spoon, are the perfect choice for you.
