I received my Absinthe King Gold on the 16th of March - only eight days shipping to New Jersey. The bottle and glasses I ordered were wrapped in very thick bubble wrap; there was no chance for any breakage.
It has a strong flavour which is reminiscent of a liquorice-type flavouring but when you add the water and/or ice, it isn't too bad. I don't like licorice at all and it doesn't bother me so it's really a mild liquorice flavouring.
The strength is nice - I only take one glass and I'm set for the night! The recipes they include are very helpful as I was curious what a good mixer would be. I have yet to try the brandy but the lemon juice, sugar and Absinthe mix is very tatsty - as is the plain Absinthe with the teaspoon of sugar.
I highly recommend not only the King Gold but this establishment for their prompt, professional, and discreet service.
